KORO TE WHAITI AT OWHAOKO C

Koro Te Whaiti is from Waimārama, near Hastings, The portrait is drawn from a photo taken by the artist some years ago when visiting the Owhaoko C land block on the Napier Taihape road. Koro is one of the trustees responsible for managing the block and has been for some years. The artist also connects to the block through whakapapa and her affiliation to Ngai Te Upokoiri hapu.
